Three months of leaving 2020 behind and what we learnt from March 2020 to March 2021 couldn’t be more apparent to us. From being frustrated to finally accepting the situation of being unable to go out on a safari, our year has been long and hard but it has been fulfilling and wholesome too. A whole new world was introduced to us and along with it came appreciation and insight. We cannot believe our last upload was 4 months ago! 4 MONTHS!! We feel terrible. As you all know and like we’ve said multiple times we LOVE Koyna and this video ‘guide’ illustrates why. We’ve covered all the things we do there, where we stay and everything in between. 👉 Our Itinerary: ▸ Early morning start to Koyna. Arrival in the afternoon, rest at the resort, go fishing and unwind with a BBQ by the Koyna river. ▸ 5AM morning with our first safari to catch all the exotic birds and mammals, hopefully, a tiger (there are only 6!) lunch by the river another safari and spending the night in our private pool when we feel luxurious! ▸ 5AM hike around the resort for the birds. A relaxing lunch by the river followed by a visit to Ozarde waterfall. We skip the touristy attractions and opt to look for snakes instead. ▸ Early exit from Koyna and take the scenic route visiting Vankuswade wind park on the way. Welcome to Koyna, a bird watchers dream, a lovers paradise, a travellers hope; there’s something for everyone. Here’s a short video highlighting all the things we loved about Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary- the sights, colours, sounds and smells that define its beauty for us. We’ve visited the sanctuary twice once in 2019 during the rains and early this year in the cold months of winter. Both times, we saw a different equally mesmerizing side of the jungle.
