Spotted this gorgeous Phipson's shieldtail (Uropel

Spotted this gorgeous Phipson's shieldtail (Uropeltis phipsonii) at home, right here in Koynanagar part of Sahyadri Tiger Reserve! 🌧️🐍

These gentle, non-venomous beauties are endemic to the Western Ghats and spend almost their entire lives digging underground, surfacing mostly in the monsoons.

I mentioned it stays in a cave in the audio that is incorrect they burrow in TUNNELS and live underground 95% of the time!

A peafowl.
A shaft of morning light.
The forest, carrying on exactly as it has for thousands of years.

And for a brief moment, you’re simply allowed to be a part of it.
